Regenerative design – APW is concerned with pursuing and developing design solutions that create abundance and actively regenerate all forms of capital - natural, built, social, cultural and financial.

Active citizenship – APW believe that truly equitable and sustainable cultures and communities are embedded in place, where people are conscious and active participants in the ecology and economy of the bioregions in which they live.

Community resilience - APW believe that resilient cultures and communities are flexible and capable of responding effectively to uncertainty and surprise as well as capturing and harnessing positive opportunities as they arise. The Auckland bioregion will not develop towards abundance and resilience unless the people who nurture and shape this bioregion begin to think and act in a very different way.
