"The question which must be addressed, ...is not how to care for the planet, but how to care for each of the planet’s millions of human and natural neighbourhoods, each of which is in some precious and exciting way different from all the others"

WHO ARE WE

We are a network of permaculture practitioners who are aware that permaculture is much more than just organic gardening. We are inspired by innovative and proven applications of permaculture in urban environments and how they can be applied to Auckland. The foundations of our organization were established by Finn Mackesy and Gary Marshall in 2008. We now have many active contributors, and a third executive member - Rilke de Vos. By working in a multidisciplinary environment with a group of educationalists, environmentalists and planners, APW have developed and offer a range of workshops that explore permaculture solutions in the Auckland bioregion.
